Student Codes for Notification System-Administrators and Secretaries
Administrators and secretaries can find the Student Codes for Notification System in the User Portal under the Staff tab on the Wayne County Board of Education website. Administrators and secretaries will access the User Portal using their computer login information.
Administrators and secretaries can use this portal to locate codes to be issued to parents for registering to receive notices for their child from the automated county notification system. Notices will be sent out for closing and delays, informational newsletters, etc. In the future, notifications will be sent out for student absences and discipline.
At the top of the screen, you can click on Generate Report for School to generate letters for every student who has a school email address. The letter will include a description of the notification system, instructions on how to register, the student name, and the code to be used in registration for the selected student.
You can also search for individual students by name or student ID.
To search by student name, type the name in the Search by Name tab. You can search by first name, last name, or both. As you type in the name, the list will be reduced to the names meeting the search criteria.
To search by student ID, type the ID number in the Search by Student ID tab. You can search by full ID number or simply the student’s five-digit lunch number. As you type in the ID number, the list will be reduced to the ID numbers meeting the search criteria.
The code will be visible for the selected student, as well as the option to generate a notification letter for that student by clicking Generate Report under the Generate Parent Flier column.
