Why do you get those annoying little pop-up notifications/”ads” on your screen?

When you open a search engine and navigate to a site, you are frequently prompted to accept or allow notifications from that specific site.

You clicked “yes”, “allow”, or “show” the notifications, and that is why you are receiving random pop-up notifications/ads for that site.

How do you get rid of these annoying little ads?

First, click on the arrow to expand the ad.

Next, click on the notification settings for the browser listed.

Click on the notification to be turned off and click remove.
