It is time for us to upgrade Windows on our machines again and starting on 2/18/19 you may do so when it is most convenient for you. You will be able to load Software Center and start the install whenever you want until the technology department starts requiring the update to install in late March.  If you are installing this on a laptop please either hook up to power or make sure your battery is charged before you start this upgrade.

To install this yourself, Click on the Start button, then Microsoft System Center and choose Software Center.

Once Software Center is loaded click on the search box in the top right corner and type Windows 10

Next select the Feature update and click the Install button.  This update can take a long time to install and you can continue to use your device while it is being upgraded.  Do not turn off or restart your computer until the upgrade is finished.  After the upgrade is finished, your start menu and some other things may behave strangely until our server detects that your computer has been upgraded and fixes things back to how we want them.

You may have noticed that there is a deadline for this update to be manually installed.  Once this deadline is reached, this update will install by itself.
